Worksafe warning over home lifts and the dangers of hanging people from their bikes Home lifts are a safety risk when a person is in a wheelchair as they pose a danger of falling in the lift itself, even though they are not in a wheelchair. “It is important to note that lift heights are affected by your weight,” it stated. The agency advises that people who are in a wheelchair should use safety seats if possible.
