The Walking Dead features hugs and drugs. And death.
We can all agree that there are certain aspects of AMC’s The Walking Dead that seem a little, shall we say, far-fetched. The most improbable of these scenarios will be reviewed here each week.
“Too Long, Didn’t Watch” Episode Recap
Morgan has built a jail (that’s what he was welding in the last episode – bars), so they’ll have “options” to keep prisoners. Abraham and Eugene find a factory for making bullets, which naturally genius Eugene knows how to do. Eugene tells Abraham he doesn’t need him anymore, so Abraham leaves. Meanwhile, Denise takes Daryl and Rosita on a supply run to an apothecary. They find lots of drugs, and Denise takes a “Dennis” keychain in honor of her twin brother who died. After stealing sodas and lecturing Daryl and Rosita on bravery, Denise is very abruptly shot in the head with a crossbow bolt and killed. Guess who? More Saviors! And they’ve got Eugene! Savior Dwight (who you may recognize from the comics) tells them to let the Saviors into Alexandria to take what they want. In response, Eugene bites him in the dick (NOT SHITTING YOU, THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENS), which leads to a firefight, and Abraham is there to help! The Saviors flee, Daryl has his crossbow back, and they return to Alexandria with an injured Eugene and no living doctors. At the end of the episode, Carol leaves Alexandria (…not really sure why, honestly). Next week, Daryl goes after her.
Rosita is rebounding with Spencer, who she clearly has no respect for, because he is a giant puss.
“You’d have better luck picking up a turd by its clean end!” How can such a dumb dude like Abraham have such awesome turns of phrase?
I cannot believe that the apothecary/gift shop still has “Dennis” keychains! I was sure those would be the first supplies to go!
The artsy-fartsy direction in the beginning of this episode was just annoying. Is this The Walking Dead or an NYU freshman’s student film?
If Eugene is so smart, how come he doesn’t recognize that he still needs the protection of an alpha male/female? He thinks that because he has killed a couple of walkers, that he is independent? Not so much, Eugene. You would not, in good conscience, be able to “throw your hands up at” Destiny’s Child during that song.
Eugene is now rocking a breathtaking ponytail that makes him look like a schlubby ex-husband from the front, and a romance-novel cover from the back.
Who patched Eugene up? The closest thing to a doctor is dead.
How would it be possible that Daryl Dixon, who can build a motorcycle from scratch, would be unable to properly drive a stick shift?
