Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Perhaps Terry Crews

News broke Wednesday that Terry Crews may be replacing Cedric the Entertainer as host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. I support that decision 100%.

Deadline reported Wednesday evening that Cedric the Entertainer will be leaving his gig hosting the syndicated version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. I have no opinion on his performance—I think I’ve seen a total of five minutes of his version of the show while running on a treadmill at the gym.1 The report said it was scheduling conflicts and a move to Connecticut that caused the comedian to quit the show, and I believe the separation is magnanimous.

Later, Deadline broke the story that Terry Crews, currently of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, may be close to signing on as the new host. There is so much brilliance in that decision. Considering the fact the show is completely unrecognizable from its original iteration, I think having a host that is completely unlike Regis Philbin or Meredith Vieira is the way to go. Just think of the possibilities:

I support this decision and may start watching Millionaire again if Terry Crews hosting comes to pass.
